Elizabeth performed Going On in San Miguel de Allende and Tepoztlan, Mexico, in February and early March, 2012. From the standing ovation at the premiere in San Miguel to the overwhelmingly positive response and sold-out shows in both places, Liz was genuinely delighted and surprised by the reaction.
“After my readings in California and Halifax were well received, I was optimistic about the show, but unsure if it would appeal to a much wider audience. I was so happy afterward, when people told me how much they appreciated the humour throughout the show, and were moved by the humanity of the piece. This was my heartfelt aspiration for the play–and it happened in Mexico.”
